Workshop Education Trust (SWET) is leading
local , independent, non-profit
and non-partisan development
media NGO that has been
operational in Malawi since 1997
.In order to effectively manage its
project Story Workshop would like to URGENTLY hire qualified ,experienced, selfmotivated,team oriented
and principled individual to
fill the position of Project Officer, who is willing to work in a busy and
vibrant NGO environment , as outlined
below
Specific
Responsibilities:
1.
Assist in the planning
of project implementation at community level
2.
Build partnership with
community structures
3.
Perform /conduct/train forum theatre in
relation with project goals and objectives.
4.
Work with community leaders ,faith leaders and public servants in developing
areas-specific interventions
5.
Provide training and other capacity building interventions to community stakeholders
6.
Assist in the development of radio listeners clubs
7.
Assist audio and visual
producers in conducting content research for media products
8.
Write reports for community Mobilization ,capacity
building and community outreach
interventions
9.
Carryout any other duties as
assigned from time to time.
Experience,
knowledge, skills and
abilities
1.
Two years’ experience in community mobilization or Theatre for
Development
2.
Experience in Strategic Communication or Community Mobilization,
3.
A proven track record in developing , implementing and evaluating community
outreach programs
4.
Experience in implementing mentorship
programs.
Terms of employment:
The successful candidate will be employed on an initial one
year contract subject to renewal based on performance continued availability of funds
